The 5 most romantic places in Brighton
As a town known for its wild night-life, it’s rarely seen as a place for romance. However, there are a few spots outside of the hotels in Brighton where love can linger…
So, with Valentine’s just around the corner, here’s our five most romantic places in Brighton.

Brighton for lovers
The Pier
Not an obvious choice. But outside of peak season, you can find yourselves alone wandering between empty rides at sunset. There’s even music piped through the intercom. Many a romantic moment’s been had on our pier.
The Beach
An obvious choice, especially if you live here. Try further towards Hove if you’re after a little privacy. Look around and you’ll find a suntrap to settle in; dig a bottle of wine into the stones and enjoy a glass together.
Stanmer Village
If you’ve not been, or are visiting Brighton for the first time, get to Stanmer Village. From the train station walk up into the park. It will take you back in time, and into the heart of a very traditional English village – take a picnic.
Western Road Looking West (at sunset)
I don’t know why this happens but heading out of town at sunset along Western road, watch for the craziest of urban sunsets. Skies turned a shocking pink before darkening to purple, and shop windows pick up a golden glow from the dying sun. Turn around and you’ll see the high rise blocks changing colour, as the light burns back off their windows.
The Grand Hotel
There’s still something special about walking into the Grand Hotel. Sneak in – you are allowed in, it just always feels as if you are trespassing – order a cocktail (might need an overdraft facility) and pretend for a moment: it could be you!
If you’re after a romantic break in Brighton that doesn’t break the bank, just check out our Valentine’s Day offers -you’ll love them.
