Just as the movie on legendary crooner, womaniser, and drunk, Serge Gainsbourg is released on DVD, Brighton is warming up for its third French music festival. There’s no connection, mind; Gainsbourg is a musical legend – but of yesteryear.
Well, the music festival is all about French music now and it’s backed up with top food (and wine of course) and after-hours DJ sets.
Four venues in the North Laines will play host: Komedia, The Basement, The Hope, and the Duke of York’s Picturehouse.
With so many acts, you’ve got to look at the flyer (from our link) but for us the highlights will be Melanie Pain (Nouvelle Vague) on the 27th and the screening of Delicatessen on the 29th.
And if you’ve never seen the YouTube clip of Serge Gainsbourg chatting up Whitney Houston, watch it!Share on Facebook
