Organisers of The Brighton Breeze – the annual VW camper run to Brighton – couldn’t have picked a better day to roll: this weekend in Brighton the weather is set to be roasting!
Bathing in the embers of an Indian summer heat-wave, it’s this weekend the owners of VW campers will be making their annual pilgrimage to the sea.
So if you are on Brighton seafront on Saturday, watch out for split-screen VW legends in all their finery. The ‘fun-run’ leaves from Hook Road Arena (Surrey) at 08.30 and ends at Madeira Drive.
Organised by the Split-Screen Van Club the drive is likely to feature the classic ’splitty’, that said, membership is open to all owners – from camp camper lovers to fans of the pimped-out and customised models.
Made with the DNA of a beetle, the VW van is a motoring classic. And while there’s no guarantee all of them will be getting to Brighton on time and little chance of there being any surfing when they do, looking cool is always welcomed around these parts.
Wagons role! And our favourite model? Has to be the pick-up, and I’ve no idea why, just looks amazing.Share on Facebook
