If you love your nature photography or are looking to keep the kids out of the arcades, look here. Some of the world’s greatest wildlife pictures are on display, outside, a stone’s throw from the beach.
Leaving the pier, having shuffled off your loose change into the arcade machines and thrown your body around the helter skelter, you probably need a little calm. Well just turn left and you will be in for a treat.
The results of the Wildlife Photographer of the Year competition are displayed for all to see, and they are stunning. If you are expecting landscape, elephant, dolphin, whale, yawn, “mum, can we go now?”, you will be disappointed. The images here are dramatic, dynamic and will get tongues wagging.
With 80 images in total, all well presented, among them you are sure to find a favourite.
My pick of the bunch: Pete Atkinson’s Jellyfish.
Get along and see for yourself. The Wild Planet exhibition is on till 26 September.
