Fiery Food Fun
Popping out for some food this Saturday, I was lucky to get into the Fiery Food Festival, which is taking took place on Hove lawns. “The best things in life are free,” so the saying goes. Rubbish! Whoever came up with these words of wisdom obviously never made it to this little tented village of taste testing.
It was three quid but c’mon, where else do you get a chilli eating competition and live music? The festival has pitched tent at the start of Hove lawns. Within its private area expect to find cookery demonstrations, lots of food stalls and, oddly enough, some stand-up comedy too.
If you can’t stomach the chillies, or bear to watch people test the most potent of sauces, there is also fun to be had outside the wire. As well as the festival, there is stall after stall running along the lawns. Sweets, breads, cheeses, takeaway food, and to round it off a stall selling French books and obscure music. Fantastique!
The festival runs all through Easter weekend, so if you missed Saturday’s fun there are still plenty of spicy delights to be had.http://tinyurl.com/yfj7mqd
