If May was festival month, then June is sports month. Kicked off in true Brighton stylee with the Naked Bike Ride, now it’s time for a festival of sports devised to get the whole family in shape.
If you need some exercise or just inspiration, get yourselves to Preston Park. It’s hosting the TAKEPART Brighton & Hove International Festival of Sport. The event was massive last year, and this year features Team Extreme, Bike Alley, an urban playground for Parkour fans, a dance stage and even a swimming spa!
And if this gets the family and kids all hot and bothered, you can always drift to the beach, get in the water and coooool down.
The Naked Bike ride was pure Brighton: bikes, naked people, music, dancing, and community love – just perfect. But for more serious cyclists, the London to Brighton is the ride to ride. And it’s on Sunday this week, so watch out.
We’ve got the sun, we’ve got the sea, and we’ve got the sports, so get involved and lets see some action!
