Party and Paddle Round The Pier
With the sun shining and the sea warming up, it’s time to celebrate summer. So grab a board and paddle around the pier. What? Paddle around the pier? Yes, this weekend Brighton will play host to Paddle Round The Pier, Europe’s biggest free beach festival.
It’s all held on Hove lawns, and don’t worry if you don’t fancy getting in the water, there are a multitude of other events you can get yourself and the family involved in.
Including surfing, stand up paddle boarding, kayaking, skating, windsurfing and Parkour, and new sports like Surf lifesaving, Streetball, mountain boarding and freestyle mountainbiking, ‘Paddle’ or PRTP has something for everyone.

Fun for all
There are plenty of ‘taster’ sessions, and there’s always live music and a bit of a party going on.
For the hardcore sports fans there’s a 20 km competitive stand up paddleboard race. And if its all too much, you can always rest on the lawns, or drop back into town.
And did we mention that it‘s all for charity? We did now!
