You'll notice our B&B Brighton breakfast has won top awards for using local produce. If real food and organic wines are your thing, then the Vineyard and Woodland Nature Trail is a 'must-do' experience

Newhaven Fort

It's easy to return for another weekend in Brighton and spend it shopping! Instead, you should explore farther as there is always something to find. Newhaven Fort, for example,is located just outside of Brighton in the historic coastal town of Newhaven. An award-winning attraction and a great example of an English fortification, Newhaven Fort boasts all the sights and sounds of the Norman period.

Rye

Not every bed and breakfast Brighton has to offer can provide peacefull views over the East Sussex countryside. So try Rye for a perfect day out to help escape from the noise of the city on your family weekend in Brighton. Perched on a hill, overlooking River Rother and Romney Marsh, this ancient town is the sort of enchanting, medieval place you thought only existed in history books.

Lewes Castle

Lewes Castle stands at the highest point of Lewes, East Sussex, just a few stops on the train from Brighton. Some of the hotels in Brighton have been there for over 100 years, well this castle is almost 1000 years old, dating back to the 1066 Battle of Hastings. The land on which the castle stands was given to William de Warenne by William the Conqueror during the historic battle, and now the castle is a symbol for the historical value of this famous town.

Anne of Cleves House

Weekends in Brighton offer families a mixture of entertainment and education opportunities. The historic Anne of Cleves house is situated just outside of Brighton in the neighbouring town of Lewes. A visit to this 15th century house is not only educational, but sure to be enjoyed by children and adults alike. Children's activities include activity boxes, dressing up,  and i-spy trails, while adults can relax in the peaceful traditional gardens with tea and cake!

Ashdown Forest Llama Park

Ashdown Forest Llama Park is located in East Sussex, less than 30 miles from Brighton's city centre and every BnB Brighton has to offer. A rare and unusual sight, its herd of over 100 llamas and alpacas, nestled into the great British countryside is sure to amuse and surprise the whole family, making it a great addition to any weekend in Brighton.

Pooh Corner

Located in Hartfield, East Sussex, Pooh Corner is the gateway to all things Winnie the Pooh. In the heart of the Ashdown Forest, Pooh Corner is the gateway to the infamous setting of A.A. Milne's children's books, an area steeped in fantasy and imagination, and a nostalgic easy visit for family weekends in Brighton.

Beachy Head

Beachy Head marks the beginning of the South Downs Way which runs 161 km along the Sussex Downs to Winchester. The cliff itself towers at 162m (530ft) above the sea below, making it the highest chalk sea cliff in Britain. Each and every BnB Brighton has would love this view, yet if you want to take it in, you'll need a short trip along the coast.
